Greece has a varied terrain so the climate differs in different parts of the country. The islands have a Mediterranean climate with a lot of sunshine throughout the year, mild temperatures and limited rainfall. The winters can see snow on the mountains while the lowland areas have it mild. The best time to visit between May and August when every place is bustling with energy and people.
Visa and Passport Requirements
To visit Greece you need to have a passport valid for three months beyond the length of stay. Visa is not required for nationals of most EU countries for stays of up to 90 days. Even nationals of Australia, Canada and USA do not need a visa for stay up to 90 days. Indian citizens however, do need to apply for a Schengen visa to be able to go to Greece.
